Saw an ad on TV the other day for Flexium and wondered what that was, looked it up and found it is SAM-e, looked that up and found the following:
SAMe is short for S-adenosylmethionine, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. It's a combination of two essential amino acids and plays a role in as many as 35 to 40 biochemical reactions throughout the body. Usually the body can make all the SAMe it needs, but patients with depression and other conditions have been found to have lower levels of the compound.
Anybody have any experience with this product for either arthritis or for depression? I was thinking it might be beneficial for my mother who has joint pain and also (I think) some issues with depression that she would never admit to.
