Application Questions

Okay, soon I will be a nurse and I am starting to apply for jobs. The place where I most want to work has questions like "What are your short term goals?", and "Why would you like to interview with us?" They have like two short lines to answer these questions. Anyone who has read my posts know that I can get pretty long winded. I know how I want to answer these questions, but my written answer won't fit into the space provided. Tell me what you think of the short and sweet answers that I am thinking of.

By the end of my first year I would like to expand my nursing skills and develop a patient care routine.

I would like to become part of the nursing team at ABC facility because I admire the high quality of patient care I observed during my clinical rotations.

Yes? No? Any suggestions?

I'd hire you too. Those sound like honest answers, and that's what they're looking for, especially from a new nurse. Good luck!!

If you don't have room to handwrite it, can you scan and copy the application and type the answers in? Typing always, for me anyway, takes much less room. Good luck and hope you get the job!!!

They sound good to me, too. I always get stumped on questions like that.

It sounds good to me. They want you to be honest and you are being honest and I truly believe that counts for a WHOLE LOT!!!
