Apr 8, 200818 yr So instead of the standard nursing drug book,I was wondering if a drug book list all the diseases/conditions/illnesses, etcthan shows a list of the type of drug given in that situation. Is there such a book that anyone know of??If so, let me know the name and where I can find it, PLEASE. thanks
Apr 8, 200818 yr That sounds almost the reverse of every drug book I've ever seen. Most give the medication and then under the drug they have what diseases/conditions it is prescribed for. It would be interesting to know if any drug books out there presented in a different format. Good luck!
Apr 8, 200818 yr Pharmacology for Nursing Care by Richard A. Lehne.Goes through all the different systems, describes diseases under that system, and then goes into what drugs would cover that disease/system.Very comprehensive, but if that is what you are looking for ....
Apr 8, 200818 yr I have something like that on my PDA by Epocrates, where I look up a disease and it will give the standard meds and doses used in the treatment of the disease. I haven't really looked for a book that has the same information.

I had that textbook for pharmacology last semester and LOVED it. I second that and dunno why I didn't think to mention it.
