Hey Nevada Students and Nurses!

Just wanted to share that I graduated last month. I took the NCLEX on 1/9 and found out I passed on 1/11 with 75 questions! Now I'm just waiting for the official license to come from the BON.

I took a new grad position in a MICU/SICU and I start tomorrow. I'm excited about it. I've worked there for 6 months as a Nurse Apprentice. After two years out of the workforce to go to nursing school, it'll be nice to get paid for being at the hospital instead of paying to be there...

I know a lot of students frequent the NV forum here. I hope that you're successful and kill the NCLEX and find a job you love!

WAY TO GO!!! Enjoy your new job and buy something for yourself with your first paycheck. I look forward to being where you are in 2 years.

Thank you for your post! It is always nice to hear successful stories from others! Congratulations on such an awesome achievement!

Thank you for the words of encouragement, everyone! Orientation so far this week has just been general hospital orientation type stuff that is very very very boring. I nearly fell asleep during one presenter's stuff today...and by "nearly" I mean that I kinda did...OOPS...it was right after I ate a big lunch. LOL. I guess this nurse just isn't used to sitting.

Congrats!!! I graduated in December also and will be taking my NCLEX on Jan 30th. I just finished hospital orientation and start working tomorrow in the NICU! Now...back to that Saunder's CD...
