Anyone Going to school in the NYC Area?

Hello to all!! I am new to the site and am already hooked!! I live and work in NYC and was wondering if there are any other students going to school over here? I am 27, married and have two children ages 7 and 3. I work full time at a hospital in the City and also go to school full time. I have been accepted to a ADN Program that is due to start Janurary 2003!! I am so excited to finally be starting my nursing curiculum. It has been two years of taking pre-requisites(chem,micro,a&p!and 2.....) and I am just phyched to finally be starting. I have to admit these 2 years have flown by very fast, so I know that these next 2 will also!!! It has been alot of work to maintain a family and be a good student. Nursing programs here in NY are very competitive to get into. (So I have to say that I am proud of myself for making it here.) Just wanted to say hello to all and see if there was anyone up in my area. Wish me luck guys!!! January is right around the corner!:roll

Welcome, I'm in the NYC area also, I will be starting my pre-clinical sequence this spring 2003 in a ADN program. The nursing program starts fall 2003 can't wait for that. I'm really looking forward to start this whole college experience. Well enjoy this website it has alot of useful information for nursing students and very supportive people.
