RN for Oral Surgeon

I worked 7 years OR then a few years of LTC.

I have an interview with an oral surgeon. The ad said --Supporting the surgeon by monitoring ECG, breathing, oximeter and airways, etc. during dental oral surgery.

Does it sound like there is no anaesthetist at this place? Obviously I will ask all about that at the interview. Just curious how it sounds to you.

Has anyone does this job? advice?

Sounds like a conscious sedation gig. I'm willing to bet money that they don't have a CRNA- it would be too expensive. They probably expect you to do sedation and circulate at the same time to save money. Run, Forrest, run.

We don't have CRNA's in Canada. There is usually an anaesthetist. If you are correct and there is not one. I will run like heck.

Tomorrow is my interview.

Ajax!! RUN!!!! I smell a rat!! :uhoh21:

Let us know what you find out at the interview!
