If anyone is in the TWU program, I would love to hear what you think of it. I'm starting in January, with about two semesters of prereqs to go - I have a few liberal arts classes to finish, then I can apply to their program. Thanks!

Hey Kyle's Mom---

I'm not at TWU, I'm at UT Arlington. My biggest piece of advice to you applying to TWU's program is to follow up with them. I applied there for this past August, and they lost on of my transcripts. Then, when I tried to contact them, I couldn't get them to return my calls.

I have a friend that is in their program right now, and she really likes it. I have only heard good things about their program, but I have also heard that they are VERY unorganized when it comes to application paper work.

I totally agree, they need some help getting their sh** together! I applied for upper level nursing for the spring semester and it has been a horrible process. There a huge discrepancies in regard to gpa totals and no one ever returns phone calls. I can't tell you how many times I've called only to get a voice mail. Once you're in I hear it's a great program!

I am at TWU this semester. I enjoy the courses, but there is a lot of paperwork involved. There is also a lot of extra work (busy work...if you will).

You're junior I semester you will take 16 hours.... if you can take Patho ahead of time, I would advise it...to lighten the load.

The courses for junior I including patho... are pharmacology, nursing assessment (which also has a lab), therapeutics (which is your clinical class), nursing experience and pharmacology. It's a lot of work, but I am also working full time and doing school full time.

That's another one of my complaints. It would have been nice if someone had told us it was possible to take patho before being accepted to the nursing program. I'm only taking 10 hours this semester and would have been more than happy to have taken patho and gotten it out of the way had someone bothered to mention it!!! auuuuurrrrrgghhhhh!
