I have signed up for their ADN to BSN to MSN program beginning next week. Has anyone else heard of them? Anyone else attending? Thanks for any info...judi

HI. I too am a student of the University of Phoenix. I started in May. I have taken 3 classes so far. I have taken the last 4 weeks off. Due to moving, my next class I am taking will be College MATH. The nursing classes require lots of reading and writing of papers. Hard to work full time and pack to move the first of December.

Tips: The sooner that you get the books and print out your modules the better. (2) Each instructor's syllabus takes presidence over the course module. (3) You have to log into the classroom and post atleast one post 5 days out of seven. (4) Remember that each instructor has there own set of rules.

I am enjoyed the experience so far. I only had one instructor that i did not really like. The others have been great. I love the ability to work at my own pace and at any time of the day. I work nights, so my sleep schedule is messed up. It is nothing for me to be doing classwork at 4am on my day off.

Thanks Fran. I worked fulltime while getting both my LPN then RN. Now, I work nights in the ER and also have quite a few extra things I do at work. But...I know to get ahead, I have to do this.

U of P is very big in West Michigan because they make it so easy time-wise to finish your BSN. Their online program is expensive, about $20,000 for ADN to BSN, but I guess it's the same all over.

I have several friends and associates who have gone this route, and have not heard any complaints.

I could not have such a regimented schedule for class with UofP online, so I looked for another school that was extremly flexible and much more affordable. I am enrolled in a BS/MS program via the above school. I am almost done with my MS.

Yes, fortunately I'll go ahead and take out loans. My hospital pays $4800 year for school loan paybacks and $1800 per year for tuition reimbursement. That helps a lot.
