Texas Excelsior Grads

Hello to all. Did you have any problems finding an RN job after getting out of school? What about getting hired as a GN in a hospital setting? Pediatrics?:monkeydance:

Got hired into the NICU as a new grad.

Thanks. Wow! I would really love that. I want to be a Neonatal nurse. I was just scared to go w/ them because I read on the forum here that someone tried Medical City, and Children's, but they did not get calls back after they said they were Excelsior grads.

I'm in Dallas, I really can not see myself staying at the LVN level long, because, I barely see any jobs for LVNs in the hospital setting. I have only seen 1 or 2.

I am also in Texas. I have just started the program, but I work with a girl that passed CPNE in Mar. and boards in May. She has been offered several jobs since she received her RN from Excelsior. Good Luck! Traci

Hi Tracy!

How far along are you in the program? Do you have study groups? How long did it take your co worker to take and pass all the tests?

Well I spoke to a HR manager for Memorial Hermann who is a personally friend of my father and she advised me towards EC. She told me that online schooling is the way to learn now.
