returning lpn looking for work in cities

I'm a LPN returning to work after a period of time, what are the best hospitals to work at, or do I start at a clinic? also does any know where I can get my IV certification? Thanks

I see from another thread that you have been out of nursing for 13 yrs?? If that is so, then I would think a refresher is in order. Don't know if someone would hire you without some recent experience. (Or did I just misunderstand?)

I'm sorry I should have clarified, I'll be finished with my refresher courses in May and will be looking after that. DHamilton

If you search careerbuilder.com, there are a lot of recent postings for LPNs, mostly for LTC and clinic. I love clinic work, personally.

We could use more nurses here on the Acute Rehab unit at the U of M Medical Center-Fairview, Riverside Campus. We have several LPNs on staff here. You could give it a try! AND it's UNION!

I got my IV certification from Inver Hills Community College. The EMS training center puts together a lot of courses to take; ACLS, PALS, BLS, IV start and many others. The classes are usually on Saturdays. Good luck, glb
