I want to do RN_BSN, so I can apply for a reputed MSN program (on campus).

My question is how do universities(such as usf) look at graduates from online schools.

P.S Even if it doesnot say "online" on the degree, schools that I apply to would know -its going to be on the resume, basically, I am not going to hide

Also, how does BSN help us further our career, other than being a prereq for msn.

My resume is going to say I graduated from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. Not "Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences I took their online version".

Most RN to BSN programs are from reputable universities with campuses, so I don't feel the need to make the disction, but it's nothing I will hide in an interview because it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Graduate schools look at the program, the courses, and the accreditation. My school is NLN approved and that's good enough for most grad schools and good enough for me.

A degree is a degree basically, whether is a associates, bachelors, or masters school always will recognize it, they cannot deny you, just b/c it was online courses b/c many people take telecourses due to hectic schedules or you have children as long as its an accredited school youll be ok.

Now when you are a nurse and you went to a 2 year school like i am doing, you will have a good career b/c you are still a R.N, but as far as obtaining a B.S.N thats just more icing on the cake, maybe if your in a position already, they will give you a raise but basically the higher you go the more money you will make, and if your interested in going all the way thats better for you, but it is ok to have the 2 years of schooling along with your license.
