I can't really find a straight answer elsewhere so I figured I would ask on here.

When you write your cover letter do you add your credentials?

Would I put: Annie Oakly, BSN, RN, Paramedic

or just Annie Oakly, RN

or no credentials?

What about in the signature line, would I put them there too?

Yes, you should use your credentials in a cover letter. It is a professional communication.

In your resume, your academic degrees and certifications are listed under the category "Education" or similarly titled section.

If you are applying to an RN position, your contact information would include your name, BSN,RN, but not paramedic. Your paramedic certification is included in the "Education" category and your paramedic work history is included in the "Work History" section.

In your cover letter signature, just put your name, BSN, RN. If you like you can highlight your paramedic experience in both your cover letter and your resume. Hope this helps!
