AirForce Nurse entry rank with experience

Currently waiting to get a hold of my recruiter. Any solid information on what rank i would be if i joined the USAF as a nurse with 2 years of ER nursing experience and 4 years of being a paramedic in the ER. Would the paramedic experience even count?

Assuming that it is still the same as it has been in the past you would get 1 year towards rank. Only RN experience counts towards rank.

2LT. Unfortunately paramedic does not count or I would have come in the Army as a captain, lol.

You will promote to 1LT faster, though. :)

Yep, what everyone else has said is correct. A BSN nurse with 2 years of full time RN experience would have you enter as a O-1/2d Lt with 1 year of time in grade. That means you promote to O-2/1st Lt in 1 year. The paramedic stuff doesn't count. If you had an MSN, that would get you something.
