Hi. This is my first post! :) I need help in understanding "The Four C's of Communication." I know they are :

Clear

Concise

Correct

Complete

What I can't find are some good examples describing what exactly they are looking for.

Scenario: Rn has to delegate to LVN to insert a Foley Cather for an elderly patient with fluid over load and heart failure. How do you communicate something like that using the Four C's. TIA.

It would be nice if you show us your work first. But really it isn't that hard if you give it a thought. Pretend I'm the LVN. " Summer Days, please insert a foley catheter for Mr. English in room 123 by 0900 and report back to me when completed. Can I get a read back?"
