Oakland CA Alta Bates Summit

Hi fellow travelers, I am considering an upcoming travel assignment at Alta Bates Summit Hospital in Oakland CA. My nursing experience is majority med/surg and some telemetry. Can you please share your experience at this Oakland hospital if you are on assignment now, or have been previously, at this location. Specifically, how often should I expect to be floated, and what other types of units would I be floated to? thanks, Greatly appreciated.

You should count on being floated every four hours. It will make you a more efficient nurse, with your tasks, and charting. You shouldn't be floated out of your comfort zone otherwise, it is just the floating itself that you have to adjust to.
