Advice on Dropping Pharm??

Hey everyone. I hate that I am posting this, but I am in an accelerated 15 month BSN program and just started my second block. I have pharmacology 1, adult health 1, psych, OB, and evidence based practice. My pharm teacher accepted a new job so we are having our first pharm test tomorrow when we haven't had a real class yet with the new teacher (no syllabus and relying completely on ATI to learn the material). I am not prepared for it even though I studied all week and I am realizing how difficult it will be to catch up and pass this class. My question is: would it be worth dropping this class and taking it next semester alone? I feel like I'll learn more in my other classes this semester and also learn more in pharm next semester. It would only add on 3.5 months to my program. Any suggestions? Does my reasoning make any sense? Thanks!

When you say a new job, do you mean she got another job outside of the college or that she was new with YOUR college?

Um, you have to check your school's policy. I am sure in an accelerated program there isn't much time for makeups. In my general program we have to take pharmacology concurrently with our nursing classes - no exceptions ,... if you drop one you must drop the other. Also, you've only studied for a week? How long have you been in the class? If you've had lectures and assignments to read I don't see what the issue is, pharmacology is pharmacology, it really shouldn't matter WHO gives/writes the exam.

We got our first assignment a week ago and were on our 3rd week of class out of a 14 week semester. I'll check the policy and see if it's even a possibility because I'm already 2 weeks behind..
