Yes...another ATT question!

HI.

I am a bit anxious here. It has been about 30 days since I received my postcard saying the BON has received my application.

It has been well over 40 days since I mailed it.

Spoke with Pearson tonight, and they said that even though I set up my Pearson account for email notification, that I would first receive an eligibility letter from the BON. I am VERY confused now. I thought it went like this:

Mail application

sign up and pay Pearson with email notification option

receive email from Pearson allowing me to schedule my test

then via regular mail I would get my letter fro the board

Please advise, I am really stressing here!

I did email the Board today requesting the status of my application.

several people from my class have not only got a postcard, but also a letter saying theire applications are pending.( they received both of these within 10 days of application) I haven't received anything like that.

Thank you SO much for any words of wisdom. Does it seem like I have waited a long time or is this normal?

Much appreciation,

k-

Which state?

When you submit your application the BON for your state, they review your credentials and records. Taking the NCLEX exam is actually the last step of the process, not the first step. Essentially you have met all requirements for the license, except taking the exam. Once they have accpeted everything, they will send you a letter stating that you are eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam, once Pearson-Vue receives your money, and also word from the BON, that is when you will receive the ATT.

The ATT and the Eligibility letter are two very different things.

Hi Suzanne, I am in Florida.

So, I will receive a letter from the BON prior to my Pearson email, or not necessarily, right? I have already signed up and paid with Pearson, and opted for the email option to receive my ATT.

Sorry if I sound stupid here...just don't know what to expect first!

Just seems like it has been a long time!

Thank you SO much!

Hello KK,

I am in this same boat. I live in NC. I paid for everything on Jan. 20. I got the letter that they received my application, but I am still waiting for my ATT. I think mines may be because my school released our information late. I am going to give them a 2 week grace period, then somebody better give me some answers. This is ridiculous!Rozy

Hi,

I am a florida girl as well.. I think the way they TOLD you was the way it is SUPPOSED to work.. The way it worked for me was

Applied with Florida

Signed up (payed my 200 bucks) to Pearson

Got that postcard from Florida

Got an email from pearson with my ATT and signed up for a date

Got a letter in the snail mail from florida

Got snail mail from pearson

After test:

Got results from pearson

1 day AFTER getting results from pearson, name was on Florida's BON site..

I actually got impatient and called florida BON to find out what the dealio was before I got my ATT.. At the time they said that everything checked out but they were still doing a background check.. You can call them and ask what your status is.. They have operators and they are soooo nice...

You will receive a letter from the BON. They have to notify Pearson-Vue as well. They still need to verify your file, and you. They do that before they give permission for the exam, not afterwards.

And most states are actually about six weeks to receive the ATT.

HELLO EVERYONE!

I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT I FINALLY GOT MY ATT ONLINE. I WILL GET A PAPER COPY IN 7-10 DAYS!. I CAN SCHEDULE FOR MY EXAM NOW! I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!!
