6.5 years on a BMT unit

I really miss oncology. I would love to go back. Been away since 92. Have any of your units hired someone with old BMT experience? I have gotten my BS/MS since I left.

Just curious.

DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan can use some Pediatric Heme/Onc BMT experienced nurses. We have lost a few.

Renerian: experience counts...I am sure there are many places who would love an experienced oncology nurse like you.

It is a little bit like riding a bike...

Wish you all the best.

Renerian, I have been a nurse for only 3 months now on an inpatient onc unit, and I don't see why "old" experience should be a problem. The same basic fundamentals apply and you will quickly learn whatever new info has come about since you've been out of the game.
