Hello so here is my RN story. I initially took NCLEX back in 2001 and passed in 99 questions. Back then all multiple choice and I believe the logits were at -16. Well of course we know a lot has changed since then. My license relapsed after not working at as RN since 2007. Last year I decided to pursue my RN license and get it back in the Active status but I was told I needed to take a the NCLEX and apply for an 8 year retake, which I did. I did a poor job at studying and of course took the test in March of 2016, 265 questions and fail. I reapplied, brought the Saunders book, paid for 8 weeks online through the NCSBN extension and practiced thousands of questions online and YouTube. I felt more prepared when I took the test last week but when I got there I got discourage because after all the studying and preparation, I felt I still was not prepared and got medications that I never even heard of, several questions on putting procedures in the right order and those dreadful SATA questions. In any case I left feeling discouraged. The test shut off at around 180 questions. I started researching online ( I took the board for CA) and learned about the PVT. I tried it as soon as I got to the parking lot again that night the next day and even yesterday and received what everyone here considers to be a good pop up. Our records show that you have recently scheduled this exam.. Another registration can not be made at this time. Would the PVT work for anyone who has to take the exam or just for new applicants. I checked Breeze and it still shows my license in Delinquent status. I even called the board and she said I should hear something in 3 or 4 weeks and based on my pass/fail my status would change to active or remain in delinquent. I am so stressed out. Anyone on here have any answers for me to calm my nerves lol??
Anyone?
