RN Refresher course for license under probation
Hello Fellow Nurses, I could really use some help. I have a current license from California and it is under probation. I need to take an RN refresher course that is affordable and will take RN with probation. I hear they are difficult to find. I also live in Arizona and have to come back to CA to take the classes so I can not afford to be out of my current job for months. Any suggestions and knowledge about a course that the BRN will approve and that will accept my license?

8 year retake and PVT
Hello so here is my RN story. I initially took NCLEX back in 2001 and passed in 99 questions. Back then all multiple choice and I believe the logits were at -16. Well of course we know a lot has changed since then. My license relapsed after not working at as RN since 2007. Last year I decided to pursue my RN license and get it back in the Active status but I was told I needed to take a the NCLEX and apply for an 8 year retake, which I did. I did a poor job at studying and of course took the test in March of 2016, 265 questions and fail. I reapplied, brought the Saunders book, paid for 8 weeks online through the NCSBN extension and practiced thousands of questions online and YouTube. I felt more prepared when I took the test last week but when I got there I got discourage because after all the studying and preparation, I felt I still was not prepared and got medications that I never even heard of, several questions on putting procedures in the right order and those dreadful SATA questions. In any case I left feeling discouraged. The test shut off at around 180 questions. I started researching online ( I took the board for CA) and learned about the PVT. I tried it as soon as I got to the parking lot again that night the next day and even yesterday and received what everyone here considers to be a good pop up. Our records show that you have recently scheduled this exam.. Another registration can not be made at this time. Would the PVT work for anyone who has to take the exam or just for new applicants. I checked Breeze and it still shows my license in Delinquent status. I even called the board and she said I should hear something in 3 or 4 weeks and based on my pass/fail my status would change to active or remain in delinquent. I am so stressed out. Anyone on here have any answers for me to calm my nerves lol??

Clean and Sober! California Nurse Wants to Reinstate.
I am in a similar situation and will go in front of the board soon for reinstatement. 7 years have past but I have multiple felonies. let me know what you find out am an alcoholic/narcotic addict. I was investigated by the BRN for drug diversion. After a prolonged legal struggle, I decided it was best to surrender my license to the BRN. I'm on a one year countdown before I can begin to apply to get my California RN License back. After being clean and sober for close to four years, I feel I'm ready to get my license reinstated. I cannot apply for reinstate for another 12 months because my probation with LA county will not end until then (probation is unrelated to my license.) Therefore, I want to spend the next year planning and preparing myself for success with the BRN. I'd really appreciate some advice or feedback from any nurse knowledgeable in this area. Some of the things I'd like to know are: 1. my chance at success, 2.Things that the BRN want to see, 3.How the process works, 4.and any other nuggets of information that may be applicable. I'd also love to hear the stories of those of you who have taken control of your addiction, and the success you have had after going into recovery. As for me, recovery is awesome. I have suffered a lot of consequences as a result of my addiction. But through recovery, I have found myself. I've never been happier in all my life. Now, I'd like to go back into nursing with a new lease on things. Blessing GDD
