WSU online ADN to BSN program?

Published

I am considering taking the Wright State University on-line program (ADN to BSN). Has anyone completed the program or enrolled in it now? What do you think of the program? Does it take 2 years to complete (4 semesters)? I heard from an RN who started the program this fall that she does not have any tests, just LOTS of papers to write. I can't imagine that!

After giving up so much of my life to complete my ADN, I hesitate to put myself through it again. But,....I know it will be worth it. Just getting started is the hard part, huh? Besides, I can't imagine being on the floor forever!

Anyone else out there doing University of Phoenix on-line?

Thanks for your posts!

Is the program accredited by the NLN?

I did a search on them and according to CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation) they both are. Very important to know this, of course. Thanks for reminding me to check.

I am currently enrolled in the wright state online BSN course. I am very satisfied with it so far. I have 2 weeks left in this semester, and I will start the new semester the beginning of January. The program is perfect for me because I do not have time to sit in a classroom. You will do a lot of writing. In fact, it is almost all writing papers and submitting them by predetermined deadlines. The course is a lot of work and is not easy, but I think it is worth it.

There's another RN-BSN program in Dayton thru Capital University (see http://www.capital.edu) It's not an online course, but they don't meet but 2x a week from what I hear, which isn't too terrible.

I've heard the online WSU program is ok...but there are a lot of papers that have to be written.

Do you do clinical rotations? Can I ask the cost per credit hour?
