Don't know if this gives you any solace, apias, but it may be a blessing in disguise about midwestern. Especially if you plan on moving there anyway - then at least you can qualify for in-state tuition (which in grad school can add up to a lot). I know when I moved to NC from FL and I got my first out-of-state tuition bill, I nearly fell off the wagon . I'd wished I would have moved up here earlier and gotten some of the non-anesthesia classes out of the way. So if you're planning on moving there then wait to take that grad physio class ... school's like it when you're right next door taking classes, trying to get accepted. Best of luck!!

I am going to take the pathophys class in any case I think, because if we move to AZ it won't be until the other three schools have rejected me and that might be a while. Then if nothing changed I'll be camping out in MW's parting lot.

Midwestern never got one of my transcripts. I cannot believe this. I feel physically ill. I emailed them and someone in admissions told me my app was complete, months ago. The director said they have already chosen who they are going to interview, but I think it's worth a letter anyway. I think I'm a strong enough candidate to look at again since this screwup was NOT my fault.

Now they don't have TWO of my transcripts! That means they lost them, because no way did two out of three schools neglect to send it. It practically sounds like pieces of my app are floating around the greater Phoenix area. I am NOT taking this lying down.

Well, I gave Midwestern my best shot - resent a bunch of material with a letter detailing why I am a strong candidate. Fed-Ex no less. The director won't budge that I don't have enough experience. I will have two years ICU in March and they want two years BEFORE applying. At least in my case.

It's a bummer, I have had one interview already and one coming up, and I only applied to four schools. So I know I'm not a totally laughable candidate, and I really wanted to go to Midwestern. They're just being sticklers and losing a potentially good student in the process.

So, a couple of pointers for Midwestern applicants:

- send all your application materials in one package if possible, and if not STAY ON THEM about whether they're received everything!

- obviously GREs are not very important to the as mine are very high and my other stats are fairly competitive. I was hoping they would look at them even though they're not required. I know I am in the minority of applicants when I say I WANT my GREs to be heavily weighed! :Santa5:
