Ok, So I always loves working with kids as a nursing student so I really thought it would be amazing if I got a pedi job. When I graduated I went to work for 2 years to adults ICU. I ended up being very good at it and had a great experience on that floor. Since I always wanted to work with kids I went to work to the pediatric ICU in the same facility. Long story made short, I wish I never made the move! I have been there for a year and I still dont like it. The kids are ok but I dont like the stress I dont like the staff and I dont like management. I wish I could go back to my old floor! I dont know what to do.... opinions please! My husband wants me to apply somewhere else but my facility offers AMAZING benefits that I will not get in any other hospital in FL. I really dont know what to do.

Have you talked to your previous manager and inquired as to whether there was an open position available. There is no shame in admitting that something didn't work out.

Maybe see if you can go back to your old floor or try and move within the hospital ?

Put in a transfer back to your old unit seems the obvious solution.
