WOW Busy!

Well, I started my new job working days at a large (200 plus bed) LTC center. I can't believe how busy! I was from a very small facilty and this is so different to me. Labs are drawn like everyday, Dr's and PA's/NP everywhere. I really like the place and the people, but it is hard to get anything completed..Will I adjust??

Yes you will adjust. Takes about 6 months to learn job duties and at least a year or two to feel comfortable. Try keeping a little notebook in your pocket and writing down important information. I wrote down phone numbers, policies, whatever- and it really helped me get oriented. Good luck!

Even with six years LTC Experience? It is soo different

I think so. Different facility, different way of doing things, different doctors, different people. It takes time.
