Wound care certification

I currently obtained the title "WCC" via passing the board certified exam with "National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy".

This governing body verified that "RN/WCC" can be used after my name.

As I am not the official wound nurse in the facility in which I currently work, my employer stated that I can not use those credentials after my name. Any thoughts ?

    Well I have just been hired in SNF/LTC as skin system & wound care nurse.

    I'm looking forward to getting certification also....congratulations on your certification.
