RN's would you work for a skilled nursing facility PRN for 27 dollars an hour? Would you consider that a competitive rate?

I assume 1099 without benes? They're probably relying on someone really needing an income.
I am thinking so? I was wondering at first if I was being unreasonable by declining the job, but they would not tell me until I showed up for orientation what my salary would be. So after working I had to quit. I would have never agreed to work for that amount of money with out benefits.

That pay rate is very low for SNF PRN.
I make more an hour as a fulltime staff RN in a SNF. For SNF PRN I would hold out for 34-38hr.
Thanks that's what I thought. Shadow Mountain was trying to play me because I was a new grad RN. But that doesnt make me a new fool! They did not want to negociate so I walked and they are hiring. I am looking for a PRN position Im sure I will find one that is willing to pay a bit better than that.

This is an interesting post... None of the new grads from my graduating class of 20 have gotten anything better than $24/hr + shift differential if applicable. Granted they are all in Tucson, but I'm curious what other Phoenix area hospitals are paying their new grads now. Any ideas?
I was talking about a long term care with some skilled patients kind of facility. I have no idea what the hospitals are currently paying new grads. Last time I checked it was around 25-27 an hour for hospitals but that was over a year ago? My class only had five with jobs at graduation and many do not discuss what they are currently making. It is some sort of unspoken law in nursing....... unless your on the internet and hiding behind a screen name! lol!
