So I took NCLEX on Monday July 14 and arrived at 10:30 for an 11:30 appointment. They were getting me started early when their fingerprinting and ID checking thing went down. I waited an hour and 15 minutes to just get into the exam! Not planning for this crazy long delay, I was hungry by 1pm so even though I was only on question 30 I went to lunch! Bad idea!! When I went to check back in the computer had locked me out and I was unable to get back in for 30 minutes (yes the clock is running). Finally they got me back in and I got back to it! The computer shut off at 75--thnak goodness. By now it was 3pm!!! I was probably actually testing for maybe 1.5 - 2 hours of that time! I left feeling fairly confident about my performance...def. exteremely hard though! So today is the day I am to find out about my results (around 3pm). To make sure there aren't any problems I registered myself on the website this morning to find out my results later this afternoon....low and behold I get a phone call around 30 minutes later....informing me that since the testing center doesn't have my fingerprints or signiture on file (remember they were broke the day of my test) they are unable to release my results!!!! OK I must say that I was fabulously patient and positive through the whole nightmare testing experience but this is just obsurd. I now have to drive to Schaumburg....why is it that they didn't tell me the day of the test that I needed to do this...I mean its not like gas isn't $4.50 a gallon!!! On the upside....they are still releasing my results on time today as long as I go get this taken care of. Thanks for listening....I just needed to vent!!!

do you have to go back to schaumburg to pick up your results since you tested there? or just to be fingerprinted and give your signature? will they let you go to another testing location?

That's terrible but hopefully congrats and koodos for your infinite patience and cool - I would have been handling it much worse than you did I fear.

My testing experience wasn't the best either. The problem didn't result from the staff but the outside noise. There were protesters outside the building which could be heard loud and clear in the testing area. I took the ear plugs that were offered to me, but they failed to keep out the noise. It was very frustrating.
