Working Nursing student?

Hi everyone!

So I'm quite a bit worried about not being able to make ends meet while in school. How did anyone survive working to pay rent, car, food etc while keeping up with their full time studies? I live ony own and obv have bills that need to be paid so how will I survive? Is it possible to work part time (like 20 hours/week) and school full time?

Pls help!

I work 20-24 hours a week to pay my many bills and tuition. I work for the government which is a bit more responsibility than I really needed to take on in addition to school. There have been times where I go directly from work to a midterm or final, and am at a disadvantage compared to those classmates of mine rockin' out in their parents' basement.

Then there is clinical - 40 hours a week of various shifts and massive assignments in addition to my job? Never mind the scheduling nightmare, the stress of it made my hair fall out. Literally.

It is possible, but it sucks, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. If you are going to work, I would have to recommend a brainless, low-stress, low-responsibility job if at all possible, and keep your options open for when clinical rolls around.

Well I will have to work 100% since there are too many bills to pay :-( but I do work an easy job (waitressing) and the money can be great so I think I should be fine but I know it's just going to be hard since I live on my own and don't have parents to move back in with. I just needed that assurance. Thank you :-)
