Hi everybody,
I have decided that I am going to finish my program for nursing at wayne state for bsn. I am wraping up all my prereqs now so that I can apply for admission. I am wondering is there any real possibility of finding a job in the medical profession right now where I can earn decent money to support myself while I am taking these classes.
I know it will take at least 3 and half years to complete the nursing program in the meantime I will like to gain some experience working in the hospital. I have taken a CNA class and completed thinking that would help me to get a job, but I have not had any luck since I do not have hands on experience I have been turned down repeatedly for work. Should I try volunteering at a hospital? If so where should I start? Right now I'm collecting unemployment but that is only going to last so long. I need work. I was also thinking of maybe going back to the red cross and taking classes for the patient care tech program and maybe that would make me more marketable. Any suggestions would be helpful
