Hello NP's!
As I am getting older, I am realizing that I have a lot to learn from others who have been there/done that. (and suddenly, my parents seem so smart!)
What I am asking of you is this:
What do you wish someone had told you about the NP profession before you started NP school? What did you have to learn the hard way??
TIA!

I'm a CNS but I wish I knew more about billing and how to order and document for maximal billing potential.

Take your breaks and don't be a martyr.
you are no good to either your patients or your team if you collapse from low blood sugar or dehydration.
If you really really really can't get away, always have emergency food/drink in an accessable place, may be unprofessional to answer a phone while chewing but at least you're there
