Well I took my second Med-Surg tonight and I waited until they posted the grades. I got a 76% which is passing. I have always got A & B in other courses will it ever get better. I think that they just want us all not to pass. The class overall did like this we have 49 students 2 F, 12 D, 13 C, 19 B,and 3 A. I just want to do better. it is just so stressful. Even if I would of got a 80% I would feel beter.

This is what C=RN is for, there have been many debates on this site about C=RN and what it boils down to is that Nursing courses and nursing tests in general are TOUGH! Lots of people that have 3.8 and 4.0 GPA's begin to have serious doubt when they can not maintain that GPA during the entire process which is nursing school.

Nursing school is an experience where you will never work so hard to do so badly.
It will get better as you get used to the type of testing. If you haven't already, get some books with practice tests and rationales for the answers. Your school book store may have some, and amazon.com is a good resource as well. Once I started doing this, my test scores jumped significantly.

Nursing school has a well deserved reputation for being very difficult. My husband basically took over running the household when I went back for my RN, and my daughter was in middle school. I did not work, and spent what seemed like every waking moment studying. And I graduated with a B average. Which is just fine, but it was tough to do it.
Our instructors told us that the best nurses are B students, because A students went only by the book and did not use critical thinking skills. Don't know if they meant that or not, but it made my classmates and I feel lots better. :chuckle
In a class of 50, we had one student graduate with honors.
Just remember, ten years from now, or ten minutes after you graduate - no one is gonna care what grades you got. Hang in there, do your best, and an RN who passes with a 76% is still an RN. Ease up on yourself :)
