Will this affect my license?

At the end of the school year my 5 year was playing out side and ended up with a scratch/welt near his neck and he later received a spanking that was unrelated to that incident. When he returned to school I believe the teacher asked him if he got a spanking and then assumed I left that mark on him. I never was asked any questions by his teacher she simply called DSS.

So these nut balls arrest me! For misdemeanor child abuse. My son can't even recall how he got the mark an never stated I hurt him. The charges were later dismissed and I cooperated fully with the social worker.

I've never been arrested before and my son remains in my custody but my cps case is still open even though they never even check on my son at home or school wth?

When I renew my license will a dismissed charge hinder me at all?
