Why would you interview twice for the same job?

Ok, well, I know you can have a second interview, but I interviewed for the same position and the same local hospital back in April and did not get called back. I reapplied online a couple weeks ago, this time for an on call position though, and got called for an interview.........AGAIN!.

I was kinda perplexed. I don't understand why I would be interviewed twice anyway. It is not the same HR person, but I have to meet with the manager of the dept.....who I met with before! :chuckle I told the HR rep that I had interviewed before and she said they would pull that paperwork so I didn't have to fill it out again, but I do have to do the whole interview process again.

Anybody done this??

it happens all the time....something you will learn...people who work in offices are not on the list for the einstein of the year award..go and smile at them if you still want the job..after you get the job you will never see them again...they will be gone somewhere else witness the hr person is not the same one you saw previously..good luck

Yes,

I had to interview three times for the school nurse position I wanted, got a teaching certificate for nurses from the state of Oklahoma ,interviewed with two prinicipals and I didn't actually get hired just found this out a week ago.. :o interview last week for a psych RN position and start next week.. its games just games I feel... I am sorry you have to go through it but if you really want the position you gotta deal and if you bother them too much its not good and if you don't then thats not good either... HR people I feel are a little evil sometimes. :angryfire

Guess I better change my nickname... hehehehehe Good luck and hang in there...
