Its been a few Months since i grad and i've sent my Resume out and got several interviews. i had to decline a job due to schedule conflicts and besides most jobs where i live require Bilingual and moving else where is not an option for me, due to family Obligations.
I've been asking my self Why i went in to nursing. I can honestly say i choice this profession b/c i want to make a difference in people lives with out all the drama and B/s that goes on in many medical institutions...
So, my question to my fellow nurses is: What do you think of my idea of-starting a business of going back to the Fundamentals of nursing !! i remember in school our professor showed us a video of what nurses used to do before we got all money hungry and Tech Savvy.
As nurses our future is uncertain, but i remember a book and it said if you want to be happy do what you enjoy and the money will follow you..

I really enjoyed the health science classes and got excellent grades in those courses. This was very rewarding and encouraging at a time when some of my classmates were really struggling with the material. Also, I enjoyed talking to and interacting with the patients and found out I could do it well. I felt engaged meeting people and it made time fly so I wasn't bored like in some of my past jobs.
Also...compared to many other careers out there, nursing is comparatively easy to learn by the average person. There is really no rocket science-you complete the coursework, then you practice the same skills over and over again until you get them right. You can ease your way into the profession and start slow and work your way up.
Many careers out there, don't have the slow start option. My buddy who is a software engineer has been programming since he was six years old. By the time he was teenager, he was already engineering very complex software. The people who work with him are equally brilliant. If you spent the last 5 or 10 years working as a taxi driver, it will be very difficult for you to enter the software engineering profession because there is just too much catching up to do. But you can enter nursing at any point in your life, as long as you complete the coursework, regardless of what you've done in the past.
These are some of the reasons why I had gotten into nursing-because it's a good fit for a person of my character and learning aptitude and because it's very open to new people, as long as you are a good moral character and eager learner.
