Planning on transitioning to hospital to get an acute experience. I currently work at subacute rehab/LTC with 3 years nursing experience. There is a small community hospital nearby my house about 10 minute drive and it has a job opening for a medical unit. It doesn't really explain what kind of unit it is other than it's "medical". The other job opening is at a big teaching hospital about 20 minute drive. The unit is Acute Care for the Elderly unit. Both shift is day shift with night rotation. I prefers nights but these hospitals only does rotation shifts. Which unit do you think would work with me based on my experience? Also anyone have experience on a medical unit or ACE unit?
