Which student is at an accelerated ADN program?

Hi everyone!

I start my accelerated ADN program in June and I've seen so many posts about how school is crazy and stressful but I believe the majority of the student are in a community college or University where it's very competitive and unlike a private school like mine, it's more "personal". Can any student relate or give me some insight on the accelerate program (1 yr core nursing program). How is it going for you?

I'm in a private accelerated program - its still very competitive and stressful. I love my teachers, I would call it "personal" in the sense that that they're helpful and available to students. I have nothing to compare it to, so I can't really contribute to your idea of it being less/more stressful...but its rough. I'm very, very busy lol. I love the program I'm in..but the pace is intense.

I'm 5 months into a 15 month accelerated ADN program at a private school. I do really like that the class sizes are smaller, but that doesn't mean it's any less competitive. Its very fast paced and you will be very busy. It is stressful, but just take it one day at a time. And always stay ahead, it's so hard to catch up if you fall behind. Congratulations on being accepted and good luck in your program !
