Which program is best?

Published

I have finished all my preriquisites for the ASN program but only lack one semester to finish those for the BSN. What should I do? I am more likely to be accepted into the ASN because the other is so competitive. There are two BSN programs and both are a long distance from my house. One accepts students SPRING 2009 the other FALL 2009. The one that accepts in Spring is 2 hrs distance from my house. The one that accepts students in Fall is 1 hr distance. What should I do? I really would prefer to go ahead and get my BSN since I've heard some bad things about the ASN program which is nearby.

I would apply to all of them. Apply to the community college and while waiting, keep taking the classes for the BSN program. Then apply to both of those.

Chances are you may not get into all of these schools (because of how competitive NS is right now), so I would keep all of your options open.

That program is best which is the one to which you're admitted.

Apply to every program that's within commuting distance and hope that you have the mixed blessing of having to choose between them.
