Which job to take???

I just graduated with my BSN. I'm stuck as to which job to take. Do i stay at the small, subacute LTC hospital that I've worked at during nursing school? I LOVE the staff and what they do for the kids. The schedule is 5 8hr shifts per week rotating. I dont feel I will be challenged here or be able to fully developed my skills? Or do I venture into the unknown, and take a position in the PICU at the best children's hospital in the city. This position will be 2/3 nights, and I'm NOT a night person. The pay is $2.25 more per hour than the smaller place. The orientation for the PICU will be 12 weeks, but the turnover rate for new grads is pretty high. I did talk to a nurse who started there as a new grad, and she really praised their orientation process.

I also have a 3 year old daughter who will be starting preschool in the fall, and I want to be able to take her to and from. So I'm thinking that the night position will be good for that. I'm lost, any advice is welcome. Thanks!

It sounds like the PICU would be a better experience. It would definitely be a challenge and would allow you to develop your skills.

Congrats on both opportunities, I am sure you will make the right decision for you :)
