Which CCM study guide is the best?

For those of you who have taken the CCM exam, which study guide do you recommend? I thought I would ask before spending the $$$. Thank you:yes:

I'm going to take the exam next Saturday. I've primarily been using the website ccmprep.com. Bought all of the practice exams - 1500 questions. Also been using casemanagementexam.com recommended by another poster on the board. If your looking for a review book, i saw a few recommended prep books on Amazon but didn't purchase them. Hope i won't be kicking myself next weekend because i didn't.

Thanks MMills30! Took the CCM test today and PASSED!!! :)

The questions were all over the place, but i didn't expect the test to be easier than the practice exams i mentioned that i was studying from. Good luck to you also as you prepare!

YEAH! Congrats!!!!

After taking the exam, what do you think was your best way to prepare? Also, if you could change how you studied, what would you have done differently, if anything?

Thanks! I personally wouldn't have done anything different as far as my studying went. I think how you prepare should all depend upon your learning style. For me answering practice questions from the sources i used, and reviewing the explanations for questions that i got wrong helped reinforce my knowledge and strengthened me in test areas i wasn't quite familiar with. I don't remember seeing any of those practice questions on the test, but i was often able to eliminate answers that didn't seem right based on what i did study. I also found studying terminology in the content areas fairly helpful.

I didn't do a review course or buy any books and personally don't feel they would've helped me at all. I've seen material from a popular and expensive review course and quite frankly, i think, what a waste of money! A co-worker let me look over her material and it was exhausting with information that had nothing to do with most of what i saw on the exam. Unfortunately using that exam review guide she has taken the test twice and hasn't passed. Of course, this isn't conclusive of all review courses.

Guess everyone must find what works best for them. But as the old saying goes, practice makes perfect, and doing so with the practice questions certainly helped me.
