  1. I'm looking for other RN's who have worked as a Case Manager in the area of Foster Care and Social Services. I have worked in Case Management for several years but never with children or the Foster Care system. We are moving to New York soon and I noticed that there are a lot of Care Homes and/or Foster Homes that advertise for nursing positions. Have any of you worked in this area and if so, what were the pros & cons? Thank you!
  2. Thank you for the message & info! I have heard that AHH pays much less than Aetna. I may stay in hospice a while longer and get the CCM
  3. Been there, done that...Do you work for a hospital or for insurance? I'm just curious if the 12 hour shifts are available with the insurance companies like Aetna? Thanks
  4. For those of you who have taken the CCM exam, which study guide do you recommend? I thought I would ask before spending the $$$. Thank you:yes:
  5. Hi- I have worked in hospice case management for almost seven years. I'm looking to make a change to utilization review but I'm finding conflicting information regarding what certification would best help me find a job in that area. I'm a military spouse and unfortunately we move every 2-3 years. I'm hoping to find a utilization review position with a company such as Aetna, Humana, or Cigna where I might be able to stay with the same company when we move from state to state. Any advice from those of you who have worked in utilization review at either a hospital or insurance setting? Thanks in advance!
