Where to go from here????

Hi all!

So I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what my best course of action should be. I am an LPN who got licensed in Florida (12 month program) thru Southeastern College (private school). I was also half way thru a LPN-RN transition program. For family related reasons I had to relocate to NY and withdraw from school. I transferred my license to NY and started working in private home health care as a pediatric nurse. I am having trouble finding LPN to RN programs here bc none will take my credits since the school Galen I went to is only regionally accredited. I have looked into Excelsior but it's so expensive, and will still take me almost two years to finish an ADN! I have thought about other professions since I am only 27 but I have a 2 year old and do not have an associates or bachelors so all programs will take me longer (Speech therapy, OT, PA are some of my other considerations). Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should do? At this point I might as well start all over in a traditional school so at least I can get financial aid? IDK I am just lost and disheartened not sure what to do. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I relocated out of state to attend an LPN-to-RN transition program. There are many schools that will grant you advanced placement and/or en bloc credit simply for having active LPN licensure, regardless of whether your PN program was accredited.
