Where your degree is from...

According to NPs I've talked to (friends, preceptors, etc.), finding a job depended a lot more upon their clinical experiences and prior experiences as a nurse rather than where they graduated from.

This is actually a very interesting question and one that I discussed with a university professor some time ago. The reason I asked the question was because so often as you look at people with advanced education - often they do not attend the same university where they earned their undergraduate degree. Sometimes it is related to the student and the fact that the degree they want is not offered. However - more than none - students change universities to get a broader perspective and perhaps a differing philosophy than they received from their undergraduate education.

From my perspective in dealig with advanced practice nurses - most, if not all the people that I know with hiring authority want a clinician that has exceptional diagnositc reasoning and strong knowledged based clinical skills. I am not certain I have ever heard a hiring authority where I work ever discount an applicant because of the school or program they attended to earn their advanced degree. Does this help?

I am going to end up having degrees from all over the place after this...

I was mainly concerned because this would be a mostly-online Master's. Lectures would be online, but of course, clincal hours required would be at hospitals, etc. I have taken online courses before, but was not sure if this would be viewed any differently than the standard university-attended Master's. It doesn't *seem* to matter, but one always wants to make sure where they will land before making the jump!
