Hi y'all,
I will be graduating from FNP school this spring with a scholarship from HRSA and I had a couple questions.
1) I am planning to move back to California and I know HRSA has special requirements in where one can work, so I was wondering would I be able to work at kaiser or does it have to be a VA?
2) Can you decided what field you would like to work in or do they pick one for you? (I am currently interested in working with psych or urgent care I am just debating about which one I like more)
3) What was the pay like? Can you negotiate your salary?

With out knowing the details of your agreement so check with that. However you do not have to work for a VA, but you will have to work in a HRSA area.
Negotiating pay is possible and entering a specific field depends on your level of education and what is available. So you may have to wait to do what you want.
@Red Shirt 6 where can i find out more about my agreement?( I know i have a two year agreement with HRSA)
Your copy of the contract you signed will have the conditions and obligations. The HRSA website and your college have contact information for the people that can answer your questions.
