When will i practice my profession???

Hay...always with deep sighs everytime i think of working as a nurse....I have been waiting long enough i guess and still i ask myself...when?...I'm afraid to pass another day thinking that as time went by, all that i have embraced to learn how to become a competent nurse will just fade away without even practicing it professionally...I have spent a lot of time and money already to get trainings and seminars to keep myself updated but what's the importance of learning a lot if you cannot even apply it....hay....when????:crying2:..

i've been asking myself the same question. it's been a year since I graduated and until now I haven't had any training/volunteer experience yet (on May I will be on BST)..then after that I'm thinking what's next. the cycle just goes on.

maybe we need to think of productive things to do...work in a non-nursing field..just to 'kill time and pay bills'. these days, we have to be practical and worry less..we can't just sit in one corner and sulk. it's a good idea to fully equip ourselves so when opportunity knocks...we go marching in! keep the faith!

i agree with you piguant. In times like this, we have to be PRACTICAL most especially when it comes to time and money. Like what you've said, We cant just sit in one corner waiting for that nursing job. What if that nursing job will come to us in 2012? could you wait for that long doing nothing and just a BUM for 2 years? of course NOT! we have to be practical, we have to be productive!!
