When to call about application?

I'm probably just being extremely impatient, but is there a time when you should call the college you applied to to check on your application? I applied to UConn to transfer in to the SoN and my application was complete Dec 29th. On the website where you can check the status of your application it said to give them a minimum of 4 weeks to make a decision on the application. Well, it's been 6 weeks. No status change or anything. Should I call and ask if my application has been reviewed yet? I'm selected for financial aid verification and I can't submit any forms until they tell me what they need, which they won't tell me until I am admitted. Fin aid is typically on a first come, first served basis, so I hope I'm not being disqualified for funds because they haven't told me what they need (or if I'm even in!) :uhoh3:

This is the time to call and check. If you already waited the allotted time, you are just being a concern student. Sometimes things happen. They could already have your decision and it didn't update. Which actually happened to me. However, never heard of Financial Aid being this way. I know that it is available for those who qualify. If you've already been selected for verification, they are just waiting for the school to submit your paper work so they can release your funds. I hope this help.

i would call and ask! doesnt hurt! its been longer than 4 weeks, so go for it!

I would also call and ask, good luck!
