I just finished my first semester of nursing school and want to start getting prepared for the NCLEX. I currently have Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN Examination and all the ATI books that come with my program. I'm not sure which one to use. I also want to take an NCLEX prep class and again, am not sure which to choose. If you comment, can you include how many times you had to take the NCLEX, how many questions you got, and what did you find most helpful? Thanks so much!

I used both ATI (books and website) and uWorld. I learned a lot through ATI during school, but I definitely recommend uWorld. The questions are great, review content is great and the colors/website structure is very similar to how the NCLEX looks. I took it in September, 2016 and passed with 75 questions. Best of luck!

Uworld is the best but I also heard Kaplan is good. email me for Kaplan information [email protected]

I used the HURST Review and UWORLD

I was using this review book called Master the NCLEX-PN by Peterson's. It went through all the content of nursing: basic concepts, pharmacology, mental health, maternity/newborn, pediatrics, oncology, then med-surg nursing and each chapter focused on a body system. The chapters were pretty short so it was easy to follow and review the content without getting too overwhelmed or your brain starts hurting. It was short and precise information. Then each chapter had a set of questions at the end with the answers so it gave me more exposure to NCLEX-style questions.

I also used some ATI materials...I used the folder with multiple papers inside...I used the paper with lab values on it and that really helped.
