What type of laptop?

I am so into the Sony VAIO laptop because of how it looks but what would you nurses think is the best type of laptop for nursing school for a budget of 500$?

    Ugh. I had a Viao. Hated it. This was in 08 though so maybe they have improved. I'm also not in nursing school yet. I'm a Mac girl myself, but I imagine it might be better to have a PC while doing nursey stuff :)

    My MacBook Pro has lasted me since 2008. It was $900 but got me thru ALL my RN prereqs and thru nursing school. Never needed to be repaired except for a battery replacement.

    I would look at the Mac Air. It's light, battery lasts forever, it's a Mac....love mine. I use it for NP school.
