We have a separate glucose monitoring form in addition to the mar. The MAR was signed as giving the right insulin but on the other form I wrote that it was regular insulin given in response to an abnormal glucose reading.
Then as long as the MAR was correct, I would have waited until my shift to correct it. A little late now huh? :trout: Have a good one!

I just woke up out of a dead sleep and first thing that came to my mind is that I charted that I gave a patient regular insulin when in fact I gave a different insulin. What should I do? The patient was transferred to a different floor earlier this evening. Should I call the night charge and tell her or wait til the am when I go back and tell someone then?
