What to study before RN year?

So I just graduated the PN year of a nursing program this past May ()and I am about to begin my RN year in a few weeks. I didn't take any summer courses so now I am itching to start studying again. Do you guys have any good tips as to what I should be studying for my RN year? I just want to feel like I am ahead of the game for just a bit, because I know I will be up to my eyeballs come mid-semester. I have already started to refresh myself with drug classification and lab value information.

:redbeatheAny tips/comments will be appreciated!:redbeathe

Thanks!

i would take the time to familiarize yourself with what is in the references you have available to you. do you know what is in the appendix of your medical dictionary and any other reference and supplemental books you have? this is a good time to look through them. you should also take the time to explore the weblinks on the sticky threads in the nursing student assistance forum and the general nursing student discussion forum. there is a lot of helpful information there that is going to be very useful to you and you won't have the time to be searching for it when you are in the middle of classes. some of that information i have on word document files which is how i am able to post them into replies so quickly. many of those sticky threads were created because students ask those questions for that information all the time. what is valuable is in knowing where to find information when you need it, not so much in knowing it.

I would consider taking some gen-ed classes toward your BSN. Definitely stay current on pharm and calculations also. Good luck.
