What Should I do?

Hello

I really need some advice because I have been in college for a while leaving due to financial then coming back to school. My question is, I am trying to get into the RN program at FSCJ. Well you know more than 600 people apply every semester.

I am done with all of my pre reqs. I gotta take the nat, but my only fear is I might not get into the program because I am not a all A student. well I work and stay alone so I must do what I gotta do to take care of myself.

I thought about the LPN program. is that a good idea or do I have a better chance with the Respiratory program? I wanna do that one because I have the options to see alot of things. I will be able to work in the units besides.

working as a LPN I have limited options and me I like to see alot of stuff. I currently work as a tech in the trauma center, so should I just go into the respiratory program at FSCJ then just bridge over because you can be a respiratory therapist to bridge over? alot of people tell me that because I am a male and a minority I will get. I dont feel its true, not at fscj.

so any advice will help because I am at the point I am tired of being looked at as nothing just because I am CNA. you can tell a good nurse because if he or she has been cna they appreciate what they do because they earned because what they went through.

I think you should apply for both programs and see what happens:up:

I def agree with what you said. The best nurses that i work with were once CNAs! Goodluck my friend!!!

@Lovecats85 Thank you so much I will do that because I went to try and study out the recommended book they have and that is what came to me.

Go the ADN route first. Make sure you have all the prerequisites covered here: Program: Nursing (R.N.) (2149) (A.S.) - Florida State College - Acalog

Prepare for the testing exam (I get the feeling the results from this test weighs heavily since the required gpa is only a 2.0). You can prepare for the entry exam here:
